Cookie Policy

This page lists everything Celestigo stores in your browser and every outside service your browser talks to while using the site. It is deliberately exhaustive — if something is not on this page, we are not storing it.
The short version
Celestigo sets no advertising cookies and no tracking cookies of its own. Most of what we store is not technically a cookie at all: it is local storage, which stays on your device and is never automatically transmitted to a server the way cookies are. Analytics are strictly opt-in and load nothing until you say yes.
Strictly necessary storage
These are required for the site to work. They cannot be switched off, and under GDPR and KVKK they do not require consent.

Analytics — off unless you turn them on
If, and only if, you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 is loaded and sets the cookies below. Until you accept, the Google script tag is never even requested, so Google does not see your visit at all. Rejecting is one click and is offered with exactly the same prominence as accepting.

We run Analytics with IP anonymisation on and ad-personalisation signals off. We do not use Analytics for advertising, and we do not sell or share the data.
Marketing cookies
None. The category exists in the preferences panel so that the choice is explicit, but nothing is currently loaded under it, and Celestigo carries no advertising.
Third parties your browser contacts
These are not cookies, but they are requests leaving your device, so they belong on this page. Each receives your IP address as an unavoidable part of any web request.

Requests to OpenStreetMap and Wikidata for place data are routed through Celestigo's own servers rather than made from your browser, so those two providers see our server, not you.
Changing your mind
Use the Cookie Preferences link at the bottom of any page to reopen the panel and change your choice at any time. Turning analytics off stops further data being sent immediately.
You can also clear everything from your browser's own settings — look for "cookies and site data". Doing so signs you out and resets your language and last-viewed location, but breaks nothing permanently.
